London’s only (culinary) advantage…

…is the strong presence of Asian immigrants. If there was a competition going on between Paris and London, here’s where the French capital wouldn’t have the slightest chance.
Chinatown, the Indian restaurants, the Thai eateries, the Vietnamese stalls, the Japanese bars, all of this is as unique as marvellous. Just look at the picture below, taken today on Shaftesbury Avenue: it’s a powerful parade of cakes interpreted the Chinese way.
