…all for sale on the small market sitting right at the pittoresque port of Grandcamp where the fishermen work on their boats day and night. Yes, I’m in Normandy, three hours to the West from Paris, and this morning I’ve bought a big beautiful sole on this market that had been caught only hours before – by the fish vendor’s husband, imagine…
On display they had the catch of the day, right now you find soles, plaices, brills – and a lot of lobster. For 25 odd Euros a kilo (35 US$) they are a real option for a festive Easter Sunday meal. Are these lobsters fresh? You’re kidding: they are still alive here in Grandcamp!
Lovely fish! Happy Easter in Normandy!
